Getting better with techmology

Part of the reason I don't do this very often is b/c I'm not very good at it. It takes me forever to figure out what to do. I look wistfully at the Hare girls' blogs, hoping to be as good as they are. Well, I'm getting better. Dutifully copying Megan, I have now set up a Flickr account. Also, related to my new techmology effort (Ali G, anyone?), I have set up a Facebook account. It was awesome! I open the account and I have 3 new friends immediately--Laurie Higginbotham, Alison, and Molly from work. Then I started surfing around to see who else is out there. I don't really keep up with anyone from my past--I'm more of a "now" girl, but since I grew up in such a small town and my sister still lives and teaches there, I still know of a lot of people from there. I start looking at all 50 people in my high school network. They are all at least ten years younger than me. Several of them I taught when I taught that one year. Most are still in HS. So, I'm thinking I might be too old for Facebook. But, I will try harder on the blogging.

Let's see if I can get that Flickr thing going and maybe you can see pictures of the girls.

The girls

OK, so I have been so horrible in posting photos, here are a few.

Vacations

So I'm getting all geeked up about family vacations. We have already booked a trip with the Olszewski's to Port Aransas the week after Labor Day (cheaper rates). We are now contemplating a trip with the Fredericks to Montana in August. We have never taken a plane trip with the girls, so that could be interesting. Maybe we can book the same flight as theFredericks. The moms sit together, the dads together, and the four girls running up and down the aisle. Fantasic!

I told you

Ok, I've gotten complaints about my lack of current postings. I don't know if I should be flattered or irritated. I will be positive and chose the former. That means that two people (who didn't actually "complain" but rather gently inquired about my postings) are looking at the blog. Well, now you may not be. Is there some way to email friends automatically when there is a new post? That's probably really annoying. I am going to upload (or is download) my Xmas pictures and then will promptly blog away about the holidays. Stay tuned, my faithful friends (if you are still tuned it at all).

Jokes

Here's a good one from Ali:

Ali: "Mom, (laughing while she talks) do you wear shorts and a T-shirt to Antarctica? (giggle, giggle)"

Me: "T-SHIRTS and SHORTS?!!?! NO WAY!"

Ali: "Hahahahahaha!!! It's too cold! Get it? GET IT??? It's a joke, mom! Hahahahahaha."

Tip your waitresses, folks. Ali will be here all week.

Super models

We got our "favorites" back from the photographer. Check out this link: http://www.robinwinklesphotography.com/Favorites/moore_family.htm.

As you can see, Audrey doesn't really like to pose for photos, or smile. At the age of one, it is clear, she doesn't suffer fools.

New photos

As promised, Robin posted one of our pictures on her blog. I'm a bit concerned, though. Was the best picture she had one of the back of my head? If so, that doesn't say much for Audrey and Mark's photographability. (Maybe the word is photogenicness? I don't think either of those are words.) No, I'm sure there are other ones of everyone that are good. Audrey was scowling pretty much the entire time, though.
Actually, I like this. I can tell my new haircut is coming in nicely. One really never gets to see the back of one's head, so the back side of the cut is usually just a mystery. Plus, Ali looks really good, and really, that's all anyone really wants to see, right.
Well, here's to hoping that there were so many good ones, she just picked this one. Stay tuned for the rest of the photo gallery, if I think they are good enough to share.
